When the World Sees Hatred\, Who Speaks for Peac e?\n\nIn an age overshadowed by conflict\, division\, and war\, one quest ion demands our attention: Has religion become the enemy\, or have we los t sight of what it truly represents?

\nDoo rs will open at 5:50 PM. This will be followed by introductory remarks by the president of AMSA Kingston introducing the topic\, the speakers and what AMSA stands for. \;
Following the open ing remarks will be the main event which will last around 30-35 minutes c overing the topic of The Fall Religion &ndash\; The Polarised Lens. This will be followed by a 20&ndash\;25-minute Q&\;A session near the end o f the event once the speakers have presented their points. \;< /p>
The Q&\;A session will be conducted through the use of QR Codes that will be projected on the screen and placed on tables fo r people to scan and submit their questions online alongside one mic will be free to be passed in the audience to ask verbal questions.
There will be a couple of pre-made questions in case no q uestions are asked.
Audience members will then have the opportunity to go out into the auditorium to have refreshments a nd to network.
In a time whe re we are filled with conflict and war on all sides the media is portrayi ng the religion of Islam as one that promotes violence and hate. It&rsquo \;s showing the negative side to a religion that is full of peace and lov e\, and the media is manipulating the minds of millions of people. Especi ally\, the younger generation are being brought up in a time where social media is at forefront of Islamophobia and there is a wide range of misin formation being circulated across many media channels. This will be an op portunity to address these misconceptions and to answer questions that pe ople might have about Islam. \;
