President candidate
If elected, what are your top three priorities in the role?
"I want to make the Union more open and transparent, so every student knows what’s happening and how decisions are made. I’ll ensure that all voices are heard, including postgraduates and international students, so everyone feels represented. I’ll push for more on-campus job opportunities, helping students earn while they study. Plus, I’ll work to ensure fair funding for societies and student projects, so every student has the chance to get involved and make the most of their time here.
Working with the other elected officers, which priority do you think you should share?
"To make real change happen, teamwork is key. One priority I’d focus on with the other elected officers is improving student support—whether that’s mental health services, financial help, or academic support. By working together, we can push for better resources, ensure students know what’s available, and make sure no one is left struggling. A strong support system benefits everyone, and it’s something we can achieve as a team
How will you effectively represent and engage with your members?
"I’ll make sure students feel heard by being present and accessible, whether that’s through drop-in sessions, regular updates, or going out and speaking to students directly. I’ll work closely with student groups, societies, and course reps to understand what matters most to them. Transparency is key, so I’ll ensure clear communication about what the Union is doing and how students can get involved. My goal is to make sure every student feels represented and has a say in the decisions that affect them.
