President candidate
If elected, what are your top three priorities in the role?
"1. Student Representation - Students need a voice in which can speak out for their needs.
2. Academic and Career support - In such a critical time of students life, pushing for better academic resources can really help to change a students life. Furthermore Career support would also students to network better and gain a better understanding of the pathways that they have.
3. Student Welfare and Wellbeing - As a student the pressure to succeed can be very mentally draining which can lead to mental health issues. Student need a foundation where they can fall back on to help them in such times."
Working with the other elected officers, which priority do you think you should share?
"The main priority I believe that we should share is Academic and Career support because this is a large task which requires careful planning and collaboration with multiple likeminded individuals to ensure that the support given to students is effective and tailored to their needs. A strong support system can help students navigate academic challenges, explore career paths and ultimately achieve their goals."
How will you effectively represent and engage with your members?
"As student president I would prioritise open communication by holding Q&A sessions and feedback forums. I would use social media and emails ensure that students stay informed. I would also attend society meetings and collaborate with student representatives to ensure that we all are on common ground on how to grow and improve as a community. I would also present student concerns the administration and push for changes whilst maintaining transparency with progress reports."
