President candidate
If elected, what are your top three priorities in the role?
If elected as student president, my top three priorities would be: 1. Enhancing Student Welfare and Well-being: Students’ mental health, safety, and overall well-being are essential for their academic and personal success. I will advocate for accessible counseling services, wellness programs, and safe spaces where students can seek support. I’ll also work to address academic stress by pushing for flexible deadlines and more open communication between students and faculty.
2. Strengthening Student Voice and Representation: Every student deserves to be heard. I will ensure that diverse student opinions shape university policies by creating more opportunities for dialogue — through town halls, feedback surveys, and focus groups. I’ll work closely with student organizations to foster inclusivity and address the needs of underrepresented groups.
3. Improving Campus Facilities and Opportunities: A great learning environment requires well-maintained spaces and enriching opportunities. I’ll prioritize upgrading study areas, expanding Wi-Fi coverage, and ensuring accessibility for everyone. I’ll also push for more scholarships, internships, and career development programs, helping students prepare for life beyond university.
Together, we can make our university a more supportive, inclusive, and opportunity-rich space.
Working with the other elected officers, which priority do you think you should share?
How will you effectively represent and engage with your members?
"I will effectively represent and engage with students by maintaining open, transparent communication through regular town halls, feedback surveys, and social media updates. I’ll create accessible channels where students can voice their concerns and ideas, ensuring every student feels heard. By collaborating with student organizations and attending campus events, I’ll stay connected to diverse perspectives and needs. My goal is to foster an inclusive, responsive environment where students actively shape university decisions."
