Postgraduate Taught Faculty of Engineering, Computing and the Environment Rep candidate
What do you think is the number one priority for students in your faculty?
The number one priority for students in a given faculty, I believe would be that the student should read all the course content and reading, get well versed with rubics and course schedule for each week. They should be well prepared with readings before class. Makes sure they are managing their time well and staying organised, while also seeking support when needed.
How would you represent students in your faculty?
To represent students in my faculty, I’d focus on the ways they engage with our course work. Highlighting their aspirations, and how they prepare for future careers, whether through networking, building portfolios, or developing soft skills. Ultimately I would like to represent us as a diverse group of hard working individuals, each striving to make most of their time at the university. I feel it is also important for individuals to manage time effectively, balancing their academics with personal lives which could be part time or anything else.
