Postgraduate Taught Faculty of Engineering, Computing and the Environment Rep candidate
What do you think is the number one priority for students in your faculty?
As a postgraduate student in the Faculty of Engineering, Computing, and the Environment, I believe the top priority is bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industry experience. Many students struggle to apply their skills in real-world scenarios, making employability a major concern. Strengthening industry partnerships, increasing hands-on projects, and offering more career-focused workshops will ensure that students graduate with both the knowledge and the confidence to excel in their fields.
How would you represent students in your faculty?
I will actively engage with students to understand their challenges and work with the faculty to implement meaningful changes. My approach will include:
Creating stronger industry links by advocating for more internships, live projects, and networking opportunities.
Enhancing collaboration between students through hackathons, game jams, and interdisciplinary projects.
Ensuring better academic support by pushing for mentorship programs and tailored learning resources.
Fostering a more inclusive and engaging environment where every student feels heard and valued.
With my background in game design and experience in leadership roles, I am committed to making student voices a driving force for positive change.
Collective Mindset, as a individual Solution Provider.
