President candidate
If elected, what are your top three priorities in the role?
"If elected as President, I will lead with purpose, passion, and impact, focusing on three key pillars: Leadership Development, Relationship Building & Networking, and Bringing Groundbreaking Opportunities for Students.
1. Leadership – Fostering Transformational and Inclusive Leadership. Leadership is not about power—it is about empowering others. Having led diverse teams across continents and driven change through communication, engagement, and advocacy, I am committed to fostering a leadership culture where every student finds their voice, confidence, and opportunities to grow. My journey as a Chevening Scholar and Ambassador, Kingston Ambassador, and Social Entrepreneur has equipped me with the ability to guide and uplift individuals. If elected, I will initiate student leadership development programs, mentorship circles, and skill-building workshops to nurture future leaders who can make an impact both locally and globally.
2. Relationship Building and Networking – Strengthening Student and Professional Communities. Strong relationships are the foundation of every thriving community. With my experience as a Communication and Engagement Specialist, I will prioritize building meaningful relationships between students, faculty, alumni, and external organisations. My goal is to create a vibrant and well-connected student body, fostering collaboration through networking events, leadership summits, and professional mentorship programs. I will ensure that students gain access to industry leaders, internship opportunities, and career-driven partnerships that empower them beyond academics.
3. Bringing Groundbreaking Initiatives and Opportunities for Students. Innovation and impact drive my vision for this role. From leading the "10,000 Tree Revolution" environmental movement to designing behavioural change programs for mental well-being, I have a history of transforming ideas into action. As President, I will introduce entrepreneurial incubation programs, sustainability projects, and global exchange opportunities that allow students to think bigger, act bolder, and create real change. Additionally, I will advocate for student-led initiatives and ensure that student voices shape key policies and decisions.
Working with the other elected officers, which priority do you think you should share?
"Success isn’t just about academics—it’s about mental resilience, career empowerment, and leadership development. Working alongside other elected officers, our shared priority should be a bold initiative designed to ensure every student feels supported, connected, and future-ready. A few priorities:
1. The Well-being Hub – A dedicated space for peer-led mental health support, mindfulness retreats, and stress-busting workshops because success starts with a healthy mind.
2. Future-Ready Network – Industry mentorship, internship pipelines, global career boot camps, and entrepreneur incubators, ensuring students graduate job-ready and opportunity-rich.
3. The Leadership Lab – Training students in advocacy, negotiation, and influence, shaping bold changemakers and fearless leaders."
How will you effectively represent and engage with your members?
"I will effectively represent and engage with my members by fostering a dynamic, inclusive, and empowering environment where every voice matters. With extensive experience in community engagement, leadership, advocacy, and volunteer management, I will create opportunities for meaningful dialogue through open forums, social media, and interactive discussions. Organizing impactful events, skill-building workshops, and networking opportunities tailored to members’ needs will be a priority. By leveraging my expertise in stakeholder collaboration, mentorship, and grassroots initiatives, I will advocate for members' concerns, amplify their voices, and drive sustainable change. My goal is to build a strong, supportive community where every member feels valued, empowered, and inspired to contribute to our collective growth."
