If elected, what are your top three priorities in the role?
Mental Health Services: Expand access to counseling, peer support programs, and stress-relief initiatives, ensuring students have support during high-pressure periods. Academic Support: Strengthen academic advising and mentorship programs to help students navigate university life effectively. Promote policies that support international students, students with disabilities, and underrepresented groups to create a more inclusive community.
Working with the other elected officers, which priority do you think you should share?
• Mental Health & Wellbeing: Work with mental health department to expand access to counseling, peer support, and stress-relief initiatives.
• Financial & Housing Support: Collaborate with the Union and University to advocate for affordable accommodation and financial aid.
• Academic & Career Development: Partner with Education department to improve academic support services, mentorship programs, and career-building opportunities.
How will you effectively represent and engage with your members?
Monthly Open Forums: Hold regular Q&A sessions where students can voice concerns and ask questions directly. Social Media & Online Updates: Use Instagram, TikTok, and email newsletters to keep students informed about policies, events, and changes.
Anonymous Feedback Channels: Set up suggestion boxes (both physical and digital) for students to share ideas or concerns without fear of judgment."
