Gong Bath Yoga (This Girl Can Week)

Try something new by coming along to a relaxing session of Gong Bath Yoga to improve your wellbeing during This Girl Can week!

As part of This Girl Can week, you students' union has organised a yoga experience above all others. Female students have the opportunity to improve your physical and mental wellbeing and start the week off the right way.

Whether it your first time trying yoga, or you're a yoga expert, this session is for you.

With an experienced female yoga instructure guiding you through this relaxing session, Gong Bath Yoga is a great way to forget about any stresses whilst being active.

What is a Gong Bath?

A gong bath is a form of sound therapy that uses the resonating sounds and vibrations of a gong to create a deeply relaxing, meditative experience. During a gong bath, the sound of the gongs envelops you, much like a "bath" of sound waves that wash over your body and mind. The vibrations produced by the gong are believed to help clear energetic blockages, relieve stress, and bring balance to both the body and mind.

It’s called a “bath” because the sound and vibrations surround you, gently guiding you into a state of deep relaxation. The experience is often described as transcendent, meditative, and therapeutic, an opportunity to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with your inner self.
