Design. Model. Build. — The first step of the Drone Project starts here.
This members-only CAD session marks the beginning of the practical design phase of the Drone Project. In this session, we move from theory into real engineering work by starting the SolidWorks modelling that will form the foundation of your drone development.
You will be guided through the initial CAD requirements, how your designs will link to the wider drone objectives, and what will be expected from each group as the project progresses. This is a critical session as it sets the technical direction for the weeks ahead.
Attendance is important for all members involved in the project. If you are unable to attend, an additional session will be scheduled after Reading Week and recordings will be provided; however, members are expected to attend all live sessions where possible.
By the end of the week, an Excel sheet will be released for group formation. This will clearly show how many members are permitted in each group so you can organise yourselves accordingly.
