Propulsion Revision — Heat Transfer

Master the heat. Understand the flow. Ace propulsion.

This focused revision session targets one of the most important areas in propulsion and gas turbine studies — heat transfer. We will revisit the core principles of conduction, convection, and radiation, and connect them directly to how heat moves through engine components such as turbine blades, combustion chambers, and heat exchangers.

The session will break down key equations, typical exam-style problems, and the physical meaning behind them so you can confidently apply theory to propulsion scenarios. Expect worked examples, clear links to module content, and opportunities to ask questions on areas you find challenging.

Whether you are preparing for upcoming assessments or strengthening your understanding for future modules, this session will help you turn heat transfer from a memorised topic into a concept you genuinely understand and can apply.
