Over the past year, we've been working on a research project to better understand Black students’ experience at Kingston University, encompassing both academic life and student or campus life.
We launched the research project in November 2024 with the publication of a briefing document, in which we identified the context and issues surrounding Black student experience in the UK. Alongside this, we launched a survey, inviting Black students to share their experiences at Kingston. Following the survey, we conducted two focus groups to dig deeper on the most pertinent topics that emerged from the survey.
Drawing on these insights, we developed a set of recommendations for both the University and KSU to improve Black student experience at Kingston. You can explore all the findings and recommendations in our research report.
This report is just the beginning. Together with the University, we'll continue our work to turn these recommendations into actions and make meaningful change at Kingston.
You can also check out the infographics below that highlight some of the key survey findings.
