Hey Kingston students! This month, we’re honouring Islamophobia Awareness Month—a chance to celebrate the amazing contributions of our Muslim students at Kingston University and unite against discrimination. It’s also a time to reflect on the challenges that many Muslims face due to prejudice, discrimination, and misunderstanding. There is no place for Islamophobia at Kingston University, and we each have a responsibility to combat it—through education, compassion, and solidarity.
This month gives us a collective opportunity to recognize, reflect, and raise awareness about Islamophobia’s impact on our campuses and society, reaffirming our commitment to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for every member of our university community.
Throughout Islamophobia Awareness Month, the Union will be raising awareness to educate and inspire our campus community. These are opportunities for us all to broaden our understanding, dismantle stereotypes, and build stronger connections. I encourage each of you to get involved, engage in these conversations, and be part of positive change.
