June is Pride month - time for the queer community and allies to celebrate, raise awareness, fight, resist and exist! In an increasingly hostile political environment, especially for trans people, it is more important than ever that we raise our voices in support and solidarity of LGBTQIA+ people in our communities.
This year, Kingston is celebrating its's first ever 'Pride in Kingston' event - this event will take place over the weekend of June 27/28 and will include Kingston's first ever Pride March, workshops and performances all celebrating and spotlighting queer people and queer culture here in Kingston - see more here! There are also volunteering opportunities available.
KU LGBTQ+ Staff Network and KSU will be marching in Pride London again this year - there are still spots left, sign up here to march with us!
