Kingston Students’ Union is led by students, for students.
We make sure your voice is heard, and that your time at Kingston is the best it can be.
We run elections twice per year.
Each Spring, you will elect Student Officers and Student Council Reps. Any student can run to become a Student Officer, which is a paid, full-time role from July-June (most people run when they're in their final year or take a year out from their studies).
Each Autumn, alongside Course Rep recruitment, we run Student Council Elections to elect any vacancies and postgraduate roles.
We support Reps on every course across the University raise feedback and represent students on issues that matter. This includes:
Being a Rep gives you the opportunity to engage with decision-makers and campaign on things that matter to you. Doing through through your Union, we can offer you support and guidance throughout.
Students run campaigns through KSU on issues that matter. Your Student Officers are currently working on three key manifesto objectives each, and Student Council has the power to fund campaigns on other issues students care about.
And it's really easy to get involved with Student Officer manifesto objectives, giving ideas to Student Council for new campaigns, or contributing to existing Student Council campaigns.
We also run regular research projects to ensure that every campaign students run through KSU is backed up by data and testimony! You can find all about our various research projects here.
Officers work closely with our staff team and the University to make your experience better.
