If elected, what are your top three priorities in the role?
"I would focus on advancing the university’s academic reputation by supporting faculty research, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and ensuring that the curriculum evolves to meet the demands of a rapidly changing world. We must equip students with the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking necessary to thrive in the global workforce. I am committed to creating an inclusive environment where all students, faculty, and staff feel valued and supported. I will work to increase access to education for underrepresented groups, ensure that resources are available to support all members of our campus community, and cultivate an environment of respect, understanding, and opportunity.
Working with the other elected officers, which priority do you think you should share?
"I believe the priority of Promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion should be shared with other elected officers. This goal requires collaboration across all areas of the university, from academic departments to student services and campus organizations. By working together, we can ensure that initiatives are not only implemented effectively but are also integrated into the core values and practices of the entire institution. Collaboration will ensure that our efforts are holistic, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of all members of the university community.
How will you effectively represent and engage with your members?
"I will effectively represent and engage with members by maintaining open, transparent communication through regular town halls, surveys, and one-on-one meetings. Actively listening to concerns, ideas, and feedback will ensure that I stay connected to the diverse needs of the community. I will also establish clear channels for students, faculty, and staff to voice their opinions, making sure that everyone feels heard and valued. Collaboration with other leaders on campus will allow us to address issues proactively and create a stronger, more unified university experience for all."
