Undergraduate Business and Social Sciences Faculty Rep candidate
What do you think is the number one priority for students in your faculty?
The number one priority for students in our faculty is to be heard. Students don’t just have one issue or priority—it varies for everyone. That’s why it’s important to have someone who listens, understands, and takes action. I’m committed to making sure every student’s voice is valued and represented.
How would you represent students in your faculty?
Students deserve more than just a title-holder—they need a rep who actually listens and takes action. Right now, faculty reps have minimal engagement—just two meetings a year, and even those often fall flat. That’s not enough. As faculty rep last year, I tried my best to bring forward issues like the cost and quality of canteen food, the lack of good computers in labs, and other concerns in meetings. But despite raising these points, real change hasn’t happened. This year, I want to change that. I’ll be the voice that amplifies student concerns—whether it’s academic struggles, overpriced canteen food, slow responses from professors and mentors, or a lack of proper support. It's time for real change, and I’m here to make it happen.
