As a parent of young children, Kingston University could do more to support students with caring responsibilities. For example, online or recorded lectures if needing to look after sick children, reading weeks that align with school half-terms and timetables given with enough time to organise childcare. Having caring responsibilities, whether that is looking after children, an elderly or unwell parent, means we have to juggle a huge amount, particularly if you are a single parent or do not have a support system. Kingston University should be more inclusive and do more to support these students.
