Learn more about what your sports club should be achieving throughout the academic year.
SAS is a new system we are utilising to help reward sports clubs for their performance. It contains a variety of different categories and tasks that aim to push and direct sports clubs towards being the best they can be for their members. The Spotlight Sport Leaderboard is an initiative designed to track the progress and accomplishments of all our sports clubs and give the clubs a way to compete with one another throughout the year.
One event can count towards multiple categories. For example, if two clubs join together to do a bake sale at a KU Campus, they simultaneously work towards 'Fundraising', 'Campus Engagement', and 'Student Group Collab Events' categories.
Total points earned will result in a club being awarded a medal status. After the winter break and at the end of the competition, the points table will be split into 4 parts and that determines a medal status you can display and earns the club rewards.
Gold Medal: All clubs in the top section will be awarded Gold Medal status.
Silver Medal: All clubs in the second tier will be awarded Silver Medal status.
Bronze Medal: All clubs in the third section will be awarded Bronze Medal status.
No Medal: Clubs at the bottom of the table will not receive any medal status.
The overall winner of the accreditation scheme will be our Kingston Sport Sptotlight Sport for the next academic year, and enjoy the benefits that come with winning.
When a sports club earns medals, they unlock special benefits for the club that help demonstrate and show off their success to their members as well as the wider student body.
Each medal has its own value attached. Bronze medals are worth one point, Silver Medals are worth three points, and Gold Medals are worth five points.
Each medal earned by a sports club will be added to their club page so that it can be shown to all students that the sports club has achieved that category.

It is up to the committee to report any events, achievements, projects, etc. that are required to achieve an Objective.
The progress of each sports clubs will be monitored by the Sports Office and updated with any new reported evidence.
The committee members will be notified once an Objective is achieved.
