By purchasing a student group membership (any of the memberships mentioned below), you will receive the following benefits:

KSU Sports Membership

KSU Sports Membership £60 / Term A/B Membership £30

• A payment that allows you to be a part of the Kingston University sports community and access the sports provision
• Includes weekly training sessions (facilities), qualified coaches, all training equipment, access to a club's transport budget, entry into competitions including affiliation to BUCS and LUSL, kits, game day officials, insurance, opportunity to run for committee roles

 

Individual Sports Club Membership

Individual Sports Club Membership £5

• In order to purchase an individual sports club membership, you must've first purchased the Sports Membership (above).
• A joining fee for individual sports clubs that goes into the club's shared account, allowing the club to decide what it is spent on, as long as it benefits the entire team.
• Ability to train with the individual sports teams, access to any socials or award nights hosted by the club, access to anything that is purchased using this account (e.g. extra training sessions, hoodies, events, further competitions, additional equipment etc.)
• Have Your Say: Vote in committee elections and influence how the club is run; Propose ideas for events, campaigns, or projects; Help shape the direction of your club; Stand for committee roles like President, Treasurer, or Media Officer, etc. 

 

Society Memberships

• Access to Events & Activities: Free or discounted entry to society socials, workshops, and trips; Priority booking for society events; Exclusive members-only activities and experiences 
• Have Your Say: Vote in committee elections and influence how the society is run; Propose ideas for events, campaigns, or projects; Help shape the direction of your society; Stand for committee roles like President, Treasurer, or Media Officer, etc.

Student Group Membership Terms and Conditions

• Your membership will be valid from the day of purchase until the end of the academic year ending on 31 July.
• You must purchase the KSU Sports Membership in order to join a specific sports club.
• You are entitled to a 14-day cooling off period should you wish to cancel your membership. If you would like to request a refund, then please email: Society – societies@kingston.ac.uk or Sports Club – sportsclubs@kingston.ac.uk
• We aim to refund you as soon as possible, however, please bear with us as we may need to liaise with the individual student group.
• By purchasing a student group membership, you agree to abide by the Students’ Union Articles, byelaws and associated policies, including the individual student group’s constitution. All such documents are available to view.
• On joining a student group, and to allow us to communicate the benefits of membership to you, we will record and retain data pertinent to fulfilling the obligations of your membership and contact you only in respect of your participation in the student group. We will take every care to securely store and protect your data and retain only for the period of your membership, in accordance with our data privacy policy. Through our online membership platform, committee members will be able to communicate to the society/sports club regarding society/sports club activity and where necessary, and with your permission, we will liaise with external bodies to allow full activity within your club (for example the University).
