👋 Welcome to Kingston Tech Society

Connecting ideas. Building skills. Shaping the future of tech.

Kingston Tech Society is a student-led community at Kingston University for anyone interested in cyber security, computing, games development, robotics, and artificial intelligence. We bring students together to learn, collaborate, and explore technology in a welcoming environment.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced technologist, everyone is welcome — curiosity matters more than experience.

🚀 What We Offer

✦Talks & Panels: Guest speakers, industry talks, and tech discussions.
✦Workshops: Hands-on sessions covering coding, games, cyber, AI, and more.
✦Competitions: Coding challenges, Capture the Flag, and Game Jams.
✦Socials: Community events to meet new people and collaborate.

🌟 Our Flagship Event: CodeFest

Kingston’s biggest tech event of the year.

CodeFest is our annual multi-day festival celebrating creativity and problem-solving. Students take part in coding challenges, a themed Game Jam, Capture the Flag competitions, and tech-focused talks.

Open to all skill levels, CodeFest ends with a formal Closing Ceremony celebrating achievements and winners.

Non-Compete Notice: Kingston Tech Society serves as the Students’ Union umbrella society for computing and technology-related fields (including, but not limited to, cybersecurity, computing, gaming, artificial intelligence, software, and related areas). Members may not establish or operate another Students’ Union society whose primary focus falls within these areas where it overlaps with the scope of Kingston Tech Society; such interests should instead be developed as sub-communities within Kingston Tech Society.
