Welcome to Kingston Unviersity's Rocket Engineering Society

Background:

We were started in 2020 as a place for engineering students to build rockets and other space related technologies. Over year years we had several notable achievements:

• 2021: Won the most ambitious award at the Mach-X competition
• 2022: Won the Mach competition
• 2023: Launched a supersonic rocket at the mach competition. Participated in the inaugural Race to Space competition where we were the first to image combustion in a hybrid rocket engine
• 2024: Launched a rocket at Mach competition, test fired a 3kN regeneratively cooled 3D printed engine at the Race to Space competition. We won the Best Team Spirit award at the Race to Space competition and was unofficially the most improved team.

Future Plans

Our future plans for 2025 include continuing participation in the Mach-X and Race to Space competitions as well as building Kingston University's first bi-propellant powered rocket. 

Joining:

We welcome students from all courses as there is a variety of tasks to be competed. There is something for all backgrounds to do as its not all rocket science. We have students from
