If you are enrolled in a professional course (e.g., Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work, Pharmacy or Nutrition) you will have your fitness to practise monitored by the University throughout your studies. At the end of the course, the University will sign off whether you are fit to practise in your chosen profession.
If the University has concerns that you have not adhered to the standards set by relevant professional bodies (e.g., NMC, HCPC, NCTL) or the University’s Code of Practice for students, an investigation into your fitness to practise may be initiated, potentially leading to a formal hearing.
