Led by students, we’re here to help you get the best from your university experience. We’re politically independent from Kingston University, so we’re here to represent you.
Think of us as your voice, your community and your support network during your time at Kingston Uni.
We want every student in our diverse Kingston communities to thrive and be supported, whatever your needs.
We work across our organisation to achieve the very best for students and deliver shared goals.
We welcome and celebrate diversity amongst our staff team. A diverse team makes for better decision-making and better outcomes for everybody.
We look for partnerships across the University, our members and the local community to work together for the success of our student members.
We challenge ourselves to be bold and create innovative solutions. We constantly try new ways of working and strive to break the mould.
We always keep sight of our purpose. We question and reflect on what we do and why we do it, keeping our Kingston communities at the heart of our work.
Our goal is to support and represent all students at Kingston University. We want to ensure our services, activities and campaigns are relevant to you.
Our goals for 2024 – 2027
The Union was first founded in 1947. For over 70 years we’ve worked hard to create the thriving student experience you’ll find at Kingston Uni today.
The very first society started in 1959 and now we are a community of 30 sports clubs and 61 societies.
Before we became Kingston Students Union (KSU), we were known as Kingston University Guild of Students, Kingston University Students’ Union (KUSU) and most recently Union of Kingston Students (UKS).
The hard work isn’t over. Our Union is more active than ever. With every new student member, we continue to make positive changes to student life at Kingston Uni.
Today, we’re helping every student to succeed, be happy and enjoy their time at Kingston University.
